Dermal Fillers 

Injectables are some of the most popular treatments performed today. It should be said that, generally, dermal fillers like our RHA Collection, Juvederm, Restylane, and others are not designed to tighten the skin. The way that these products work is by increasing the volume of the skin. Youthful looking skin is plump and smooth. Dermal fillers made with hyaluronic acid restore the plumpness by trapping water molecules in a target area. 

One injectable that is designed to help the skin regenerate itself through dermal remodeling is Sculptra. This injectable is referred to as a dermal filler but it is more of a biostimulator. When introduced to deeper layers of the skin, Sculptra instigates a flurry of collagen production. Since collagen is the protein known to make the skin firm and supple, patients may notice some degree of tightening over time.

Laser Treatments

A multitude of laser devices have been developed in the past decade. Each may target a specific set of concerns and many of them do so by affecting merely a portion of the skin at a time. Fractional laser treatments are very popular because they achieve significant improvements with little downtime, if any. Because lasers deposit controlled thermal energy into the dermis, patients who choose this treatment may notice mild to moderate skin tightening over time as collagen fibers are strengthened.
