Thin vascular facial lesions do not just damage your appearance; they can also influence your self-esteem. Dr. Vivian Bucay and her staff can dramatically reduce the appearance of vascular lesions, as well as other facial skin problems such as fine lines, wrinkles, warts, and pigment discoloration, with the use the Cutera Excel V laser treatment.
What is Cutera Excel V?
Cutera Excel V is a non-invasive laser treatment that specifically targets vascular lesions, pigment discoloration, and other skin problems. Using a long wavelength laser, this treatment is designed to dramatically reduce the visible appearance of bumps, scars, discoloration, and veins that appear on the nose, cheeks, and forehead.
Cutera Excel V has also been proven to treat spider veins and leg veins. These conditions are often difficult to treat due to the deep blue/purple color that appears.
These facial and leg veins, as well as other skin problems, are treated with the powerful laser that is used during a Cutera Excel V treatment. The light of the laser targets the blood vessels located right under the skin and starts a natural healing process that dramatically reduces any imperfections on the skin or legs.
What Conditions Does Cutera Excel V Treat?
Cutera Excel V treats everything from facial and leg veins, to rosacea. It is also successful in treating skin discoloration caused by sun spots, acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin texture.
Are There Any Side Effects Associated with Cutera Excel V?
There are very few side effects associated with Cutera Excel V treatments. Some of our patients may feel a slight burning or tingling sensation during the actual treatment, but this usually goes away as soon as the laser is turned off.
On rare occasions, some blistering may occur during a treatment. This is a rare side effect that happens in very few patients.
How Many Treatments are Needed to See Results?
Our patients will often see results within one to three treatment sessions, but it really varies. Some patients see results right away, while others may need several sessions before results are seen.
The number of treatments you will need will depend upon a number of factors including what is being treated, the thickness of your skin, and the color of the veins or lesion. Dr. Vivian Bucay and her staff will be able to determine approximately how many treatments you will need during your consultation.
