A pioneer of laser resurfacing in Mexico, Dr. Bucay is an expert in resurfacing skin to eliminate sun damage and wrinkles, especially deep creases around the mouth often caused by age and smoking.

The process uses a CO2 laser to vaporize fine layers of skin and stimulate the deeper skin layers to produce more and better collagen. Resurfacing also yields firmer, more youthful skin resulting from the tightening of the collagen bundles - a benefit not possible with other treatments such as peels and microdermabrasion.

Dr. Bucay recommends combining this treatment with Botox injections for optimal results. Skin resurfacing is performed in the office but does require pre-operative and post-operative care. The results can last 15 years or more.
